Twitter in School

An experiment was conducted in one of the Universities in Australia where students are encouraged to use Twitter to ask and answer questions during Power Point presentations. The tweets scroll across the bottom of the page where everyone can see. This is a good tool to those who are shy because lets face it, even in this time and age, there are still people who can't talk infront of other people who are like strangers to them.

The downside was it might encourage them to remain shy all their lives or worst be anti-social. This was also pointed out. Upside is, you get the best from all the students which is the best classroom scenario - everyone is participating. There's no better sight than to hear ideas rolling from one corner to another even if they are just discussing mesothelioma survival rate.

Now, Twitter has just become a perfect tool for communication in and out of the classroom.
