Well, we have not kept our Australi Day tradition of going to the beach. What with the deluge that we've been through for a week. Although, there was a bit of a reprieve as the sun was visible yesterday for a few hours or so.
Anywhere else in Australia, the celebration went on as expected. There might be baskers using their vg99 everywhere showcasing and sharing their talent. Although, it has been flooding in the Sunny state Australia Day is Australia Day.
One of the events that I will remember is the news that the PM and the opposition leader being harassed at a resto while awarding some of the emergency services people. It's just a shame.

72 Hours
trapped in a car upside down, the mother got out of the car alive. It was a miracle. She's been trying to cut her leg off to get out but no luck until somebody saw her car and called help.
Canberra Hospital today confirmed Tumut woman Deborah McKnight had agreed to sell her story to Channel Nine's A Current Affair and Woman's Day.
After a visit from her family, Ms McKnight's condition has improved from critical to stable.
Ms McKnight tried to amputate her leg to set herself free after her phone battery died.
Yesterday her family yesterday revealed the agonising details of her three-day ordeal trapped under her car after it rolled over an embankment beside an isolated country road on Christmas Day, The Daily Telegraph reported.
Her recovered mobile phone shows she tried six times to ring triple-0 - from an area prone to poor reception - before the phone lost power.

Well, the story above is actually her selling her story to the network. The money could help her cover her hospital bill (and maybe wide shoes if she needs any) and some extra expenses.

Snow Adventurer
The Australian pair has reached the South Pole on foot in 61 days. But they have to race to get back to the coast skiing the 1100km in 28 days inorder not to miss the last flight from the icy place. They have been delayed by ice storms so they are now on ration on their food supplies. It's a gruelling adventure especially if they lack food. It's a successfull adventure - half of it anyway and I just hope that spinal laser surgery is not necessary to anyone of them when they get back.

Baby Steps
for Molly Medrum that is. This is such good news especially to those people who love him.
MOLLY Meldrum may be making "baby steps" towards recovery after opening his eyes several times while under sedation in hospital.
Meldrum's manager Mark Klemens said the 65-year-old former Countdown host had voluntarily opened his eyes several times on this morning, reported The Daily Telegraph.
He remains in an induced coma following a fall at his Melbourne home on Thursday, but his sedation levels were reduced overnight.
"Early this morning he did open and close his eyes several times, but nothing more than that. It was brief and just a small step," Mr Klemens said.
"It's terrific. It's a great step forward, but it's baby steps."
He said Meldrum's brother Brian was delighted at the news.

It was a sudden news when a fall put one into such nightmarish dilema. I mean, the man was decorating his Christmas tree at his home (not in the rental homes). Things can change in a split second.
